The objective of the Faculty is to impart basic and advanced level training in cartography, Digital mapping and Geographic Information System to the departmental trainees of Survey of India , foreign trainees , sponsored trainees from other agencies and private candidates . The courses are designed to prepare professionals in the field of Digital Cartography , Digital Cartographic Data Base and Information Technology using the state of art technology and equipment .
